We are all stuck at home, so I’ve finally decided to create my own website. It was not an easy decision, because I knew nothing about web developing (and I’m still learning), but also because my portfolio was in total mess. But well, this seemed like a nice idea for a quarantine / self-isolation period. Please forgive me that it’s so imperfect – I keep working on the template and will update different categories soon.
Other plans? Mostly attending several online events, here are some examples: my favorite Go Short Online or
66th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen Online.
Let’s not forget about My Darling Quarantine Short Film Festival.
In the meantime, my team of Short Waves Festival was also pretty busy. After weeks of hibernation we’ve decided to test online formats and prepared Short Waves Online – Polish short film competition available globally at Ninateka, one of the biggest archive of Polish films, theater plays and other audiovisual content. Preparing online premiere of seven titles, targeting the audience and introducing digital marketing strategy for this event was quite a hassle, but I’m glad we did it. It seems that we have found new audience for our future activities and proved ourselves that we are capable of creating engaging content, which will definitely be the biggest challenge of the 12th edition of the actual festival in August 2020.
In upcoming weeks I will have a pleasure of joining the jury of Vienna Shorts – Online edition in MUVI Austrian Music Video Award category. I’m curious how it’s gonna work, so I promise to keep you posted.
Wish me luck and consequence as creating content requires certain patience!
